Riga’s modern skyline glows along the Daugava, with the Saules Akmens tower on the left bank marking the city’s 21st-century rise. Completed in 2004 as Swedbank’s headquarters, the glass high-rise has become one of the most recognizable contemporary silhouettes in Pārdaugava.

Interesting Fact
Saules Akmens translates as “Sun Stone.” The name evokes light and brightness — fitting for a building that catches and reflects the river’s changing sky.
