THE SOUL OF RIGA
Riga Cathedral Tower
Historical Facts:
The Riga Cathedral, built in 1211, is the largest medieval church in the Baltic States.
Its tower (90 m) has undergone several reconstructions, including after the great fire of 1547 and during 18th-century renovations.

Interesting Fact:
Inside, the cathedral houses one of Europe’s most famous organs, built in 1884 by E.F. Walcker & Co. with over 6700 pipes.

Author’s Note:
The tower rises, but time kneels.
