History and Facts
The main building of the Latvian National Museum of Art was constructed in 1903–1905 and opened in 1905, designed by architect Wilhelm Neumann. It was among the first buildings in the Baltics created specifically for the needs of an art museum, and it remains a key cultural landmark in Riga’s Boulevard Circle.

Interesting Fact
The façade is enriched with allegorical sculptures and decorative details, while the museum’s collection holds over 65,000 works of art — from the 18th century to the present day.
