History and Facts
Riga Cathedral is the largest medieval church in the Baltic States. Its foundation stone was laid in 1211 by Bishop Albert. Over the centuries, the cathedral has been rebuilt many times, blending Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, and Art Nouveau elements. Its organ, once the largest in the world during the 19th century, brought it worldwide fame.

Interesting Fact
The cathedral has suffered from fires and wars but has always been restored. In the 20th century, it became an important venue for concerts and cultural events, attracting visitors from all over the world.

Author’s Note
I chose Riga Cathedral because, to me, it represents the spiritual and cultural foundation of the city. In this image, I wanted to emphasize not only its monumental architecture but also how it interacts with the surrounding space and the sky.
